Barry Coulson-Smith

Barry is an Associate Project Director, and has spent around 40 years in the Construction industry, with Commercial being the dominant discipline and 25 years specialising in Rail, and particularly London Underground Projects. The time was split between being a Commercial Director for Tier 2 Contractors and Client-side/Tier 1 Contract Management, having worked extensively with the NEC Suite of Contracts and managing both Estimating and Post-Contract Surveying Teams.

More recently, he worked in the Nuclear and MoD environment, transferring his NEC knowledge, along with his ability to help build an effective Commercial team to ensure the full Governance process, allied with the Contractual requirements when managing Tier 1 Contractors, (from a Client perspective) were not only adhered to, but used as the shining example of what “good” looks like!
