John Reed

John is an Project Director at Agilia where he is involved in providing project controls, financial modelling, commercial, risk and contract management services to our clients. With nearly 25 years senior-level experience in the infrastructure sector, John holds professional qualifications in finance (FCA), project management (MAPM), procurement (MCIPS) and highways (FCIHT).

John was previously Head of Technical Services at Durham County Council where he was responsible for managing highways, including a large in-house provider of design, construction and maintenance services. Under John’s leadership Durham was recognised as one of the top performing highway authorities in the UK. 

John initially developed his expertise in infrastructure at PwC where he trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant and became a Senior Manager, leading teams in providing financial advice on PPP/PFI projects across the UK. John then joined 4ps/Local Partnerships where he was the sector lead for local infrastructure, supporting local authorities across England and successfully delivering transport, including Street Lighting PFI and Highways Maintenance PFI, and low carbon projects.
