Stephen Dance OBE

Stephen Dance OBE is a Senior Adviser at Agilia with more than 45 years of experience across major public projects, including 16 years in the civil service. A Chartered Surveyor by background, he has held senior roles across programmes including the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Crossrail, and HS2.

In his private sector career, Stephen was engaged on the privatisation of the water industry, advising government on the prospectus and finance committee. In the public sector, he led for HMT on the Northern Line Extension to Battersea, a Tax Increment Financing scheme, and was actively involved in Thames Tideway Tunnel and Hinkley Point C.

Most recently, he was a Director at NISTA and its predecessor, the IPA, advising Ministers on the financing and delivery of complex major projects. He is currently Chair of the Northern Gateway Mayoral Development Corporation.
